Helpful, but small issue

I used BugHerd's Client Collaboration Platform for a recent project. It was mostly great; the browser extension made it super simple for my client to report issues directly on the page, and the Slack Integration kept my team in the loop. Delivery of the service itself was instant, of course, as it's software. My only minor gripe was that setting up the guest feedback access took a little longer than I expected to figure out, but once it was done, it worked flawlessly. Overall, a positive experience and good value for the price.

Good value with annual plan

I signed up for the Deluxe Plan after the free trial, making sure to select the annual billing option. The 2 months free made a real difference in the overall cost, which was a big plus for my small agency. The Visual Feedback Tool really streamlined our UAT process. It felt like a solid investment compared to other options I considered. Worth it.

Reliable bug tracking

I've been using BugHerd for about a year now, mainly for its Bug Tracking Software and Kanban Task Board. My latest purchase was the Premium Plan, and it's been just as consistent as my previous subscriptions. The technical metadata capture is a feature I rely on heavily, and it continues to deliver. I keep coming back because it just works without any fuss, unlike some other tools I've tried in the past.

hey, was looking at BugHerd for my dev team. how does the free trial actually work? like, do they just cut you off after 14 days or what?

W William Perez 1 month ago
Nah, it's pretty straightforward. You get full access for 14 days, no credit card needed to start. After that, if you don't pick a plan, your account just goes inactive, no auto-charges or anything dodgy.

Yeah, I tried it a while back. It just stops working until you subscribe. You can still log in to choose a plan, but you won't be able to use the features. All your project data stays there though, which is nice.

Comparing BugHerd with Marker.io. Anyone used both and can say which one is better for website feedback?

L Leah 2 weeks ago
I've used both. BugHerd feels a bit more intuitive for clients, the 'point and click' is super easy. Marker.io is good too, but sometimes felt a little more dev-focused. Depends on your client's tech comfort level.

For just visual website feedback, BugHerd probably has the edge. Marker.io is cool, but BugHerd's interface for reporting bugs directly on the page is really slick for non-technical folks. Plus, the Kanban board is a big plus for dev teams.

Is BugHerd any good for really big agencies? Like, with tons of projects and clients?

P Paul Brown 1 month ago
My agency uses it and we're pretty big, like 50+ projects active at any given time. It scales well, especially with the 'guest access' for clients. Keeps things tidy.

It can be, but you'd probably want to look at their Enterprise options. The standard plans might get a bit cramped if you have a massive volume of users or really complex needs, just my two cents.

Thinking of signing up for BugHerd. Any chance of getting a discount code? Or are they just for specific promos?

R Rachel Moore 1 month ago
Most of their discounts actually come from picking annual billing, gives you a few months free. Sometimes they have specific landing pages for deals, like Black Friday stuff.

Yeah, I haven't seen many 'codes' you type in. It's more about the annual thing or if you qualify for a non-profit/startup discount. Check their site around holidays too.

Does BugHerd charge per client or per user? Trying to figure out costs for multiple clients.

M Matt Rivera 3 weeks ago
It's generally per user (team members who need access to the BugHerd dashboard) and then clients are usually guest users, so they don't count towards your paid seats. That's how it worked for me anyway.

Pretty sure it's user-based for your internal team. Clients who just give feedback are typically free/unlimited, which is awesome for agencies.
